Reishi mushroom mycelium, metal findings, pearls, plastic beads

I created this pair of earrings for a class on sustainable materials in 2024. First, I grew the mycelium block, before breaking it up and fitting it into a bead shaped mold. This allowed me to grow my own living beads, which I then assembled into this pair of earrings.
