The Happy Harvest Exhibition took place on Governors Island and marked the culmination of the Zero Waste Island Internship at Earth Matter. Myself and three other artists joined forces to create a show celebrating the end of a fruitful summer season, and appreciating the natural beauty all around us on Governors Island. Because the internship focused on compost operation, I incorporated oyster shells sorted out of the island’s compost, as well as other found, reused, and regenerative materials. I showed three pieces in the exhibition, Oyster Mobiles #1 & 2, and a Bioplastic Suncatcher.
